Plenary Speakers

Ieisha Hawley

Rev. Ieisha Hawley is the director of evangelism for the Evangelical Covenant Church. Ieisha’s extensive career in ministry and experience serving as pastor, chaplain, and coach has prepared her to work with regional conferences and local congregations throughout the Covenant.


Michelle Dodson

Dr. Michelle Dodson is the assistant professor of ministry and the Milton B. Engebretson Chair in Evangelism and Justice at North Park Theological Seminary. She also serves as associate pastor at New Community Covenant Church, Bronzeville.


Michael Carrion

Rev. Dr. Michael Carrion serves as the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of the Promised Land Covenant Churches located in the North and South Bronx. He also serves as the founding Chairman and Superintendent of the Bronx Academy of Promise K-8 Charter School in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx and the Regional Coach for Church Planting and Development for the East Coast Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.


Breakout Speakers

Jennifer Chan

Jennifer serves as Missional Catalyst for the NYC team. In this role, she trains, coaches and convenes leaders in the area of discipleship and evangelism. Previously, she led the Formation initiative with the Redeemer Churches. Jennifer also managed a national human trafficking awareness campaign with UNICEF USA, and mobilized UNICEF supporters to engage Congress on issues affecting the world’s children.


Jon Ferguson

Jon is the co-founding pastor of Community Christian Church in Chicagoland – a church that has grown from a handful of people to multiple expressions reaching thousands of people throughout Chicagoland and beyond. He has authored several books including Finding Your Way Back to God, with his brother Dave, which was recognized as a Resource of the Year by Outreach Magazine for 2016. Most recently, he co-authored B.L.E.S.S.: 5 Everyday Ways to Love Your Neighbor and Change the World.


Christina Burrows

Christina Burrows is an ordained Covenant pastor, president of the Association of Covenant Spiritual Directors, ICF-certified coach, and former adjunct faculty member for North Park Theological Seminary. She and her husband Ted co-own Jigsaw Coaching, an organization devoted to helping leaders flourish, especially in intercultural spaces. Christina develops learning resources for Covenant churches and serves as a ministry coach, intercultural agility coach, and trainer for leaders, teams, and congregations.


Nancy Sugikawa

Rev. Nancy Sugikawa is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and Fuller Theological Seminary. While working as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry, she sensed God’s call to pastoral ministry and was ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church in 2008. Nancy recently completed 19 years serving as an Associate Pastor at Lighthouse Christian Church in Bellevue, WA. Over the years she has overseen the areas of discipleship, leadership development, evangelism and global outreach
